Our mission is to help create the best educated generation in Rwanda's history, and to offer this opportunity to some of country's poorest families. We pare our costs down to the absolute minimum, yet even so, villagers here genuinely cannot afford to pay the minimum fee necessary to balance our books. In most cases though, they can and should make some contribution so that they value the privilege. We encourage families to pay a contribution, then we help them find a sponsor to cover the shortfall. This $40 covers tuition, meals, uniforms and school trips. Grades in Rwanda are N1-N3 for kindergarten, P1-P6 for primary and S1-S3 for lower secondary (we don't yet offer upper secondary. Mediated conversations and visits are possible if both sides consent.
