Students have a right to attend school in a safe, purpose-built building. We ran Pioneer Primary School in borrowed buildings built on a shoestring budget for five years, but the facility was inadequate and the district authorities rightly refused to grant us necessary accreditation.
We started construction of a new building in 2019, and in January 2021 after many hiccups and the pandemic raging, we opened Phase One (see Part One video below)
Currently we prepare lunch at the farm and push it on carts to the school where the children eat at their desks. So starting May 2021 we broke ground for construction of the dining hall. It will be a multi-purpose, meeting area, including a kitchen, a store, toilets, and a large veranda. The cost will be in the range of $65-75k
